The first painting I’ve ever sold
In 2007 – two years before I graduated from The Midrasha Art School here in Israel – I had my first solo exhibition at “Noga Gallery-Cafe “. No curator. No professional advice. Lots of good energy and good intentions, instead. Me, my art and this local café with a basement as venue for exhibitions. I was really excited!
As you can imagine, the opening was VERY intimate. I invited friends, family and, of course, my colleagues and teachers. This was my first time. Not only the first time to show my paintings (my first series) but also the first time someone chose one of my creations and bought it.
Being my first post in my first blog ever, I wanted to share with you this magical feeling. This is not only about being paid for doing what I love most – this is about connection, this is about feeling valued.
